A Shared Effort. On a beautiful fall day in September, the Foundation celebrated the completion of the reconstructed Panoramic Point Trail, now universally accessible thanks to the shared vision and effort of: Sequoia Parks Foundation Bill Tweed, and Beverly Hartline, National Park Foundation Curt Buchholtz, local donor Jack Jeangerard, Sequoia and Kings NP superintendent Woody Smeck, and Sequoia Parks Foundation Sally Bolger. This grant, funded as a part of the National Park Foundation’s “Legacy Project,” in memory of ViRae and Edmund Allison, provided $75,000 of the funding required to reconstruct portions of the Panoramic Point Trail in Kings Canyon National Park to meet universal access standards. The Sequoia Parks Foundation sought the matching funds needed from individual donors and The Jeangerard Family Foundation to complete this important project.
Please come for a visit, walk up the trail to the overlook for a spectacular view into the backcountry, you won’t be disappointed!
